Brenda BAI is the senior architect of Bright Building project. BAI is an undergraduate student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) majoring in architecture studies. She awarded Studio Exhibition Award for her U4 Studio Project. BAI is a registered LEED AP in Building Design and Construction recognized expert in green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System needed to support the use of the LEED green building program. BAI was Research Assistant at Architecture Department, the National University of Singapore in 2017 working on the BIPV Façade Design and building design and construction detail of Tropical Technologies (T²) Lab. Her research also focused on soundscape and acoustic design and building integrated photovoltaic system for green building.
BAI was Assistant Architect at Tianjin University Research Institute of Architectural Design & Urban Planning in 2016, assisting with project design for the Qingdao Film Museum International Design Competition. The team achieved the second place when competing with thirteen international well-known candidates. She is also actively devoted to social practice. As a principal officer, She planned and organized the service project for over 100 rural primary students in Lianyu primary school, Hebei Province, and she achieved Award for Volunteer Service (Individual) & Award for Volunteer Service (Group) from The Social Welfare Department of Hong Kong. She also joined Lingnan Cultural Field trip with Sun Yat-Sen University to visit Hakka areas to observe and research ancient residential architecture, which is academic research for the project: Protection and Tourism Development of Traditional Hakka House.
