BIOGRAPHY

Prof. Meng Ni received his Bachelor (2000) and Master (2003) degrees from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an China.  He joined The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2003 as a research student and received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from HKU in 2007.  Then Prof. NI stayed in HKU as a Post-doctoral researcher for 2 years, before joining the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as an Assistant Professor in July 2009.  Prof. Ni was promoted to Associate Professor in July 2012 and Full Professor in July 2016.

Prof. Meng Ni’s research interests include solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), solid oxide electrolyzer cells (SOEC), energy recovery from waste treatment, flow batteries, and microfluidics.  Prof. Ni is serving as an active reviewer for over 60 academic journals and an Associate Editor for 3 journals.
